More about Christchurch Rope Group

Est in 2016, CRG is a community-based, volunteer run group, focusing on Japanese style rope bondage.

Our popular Beginner Classes are comprised of five lessons, which run on rotation throughout the year and can be joined at any time- designed for both partnered and self tying. Following on from these, we also hold post-beginner classes including Suspension Fundamentals and Ties for Floorwork & Play.

Monthly Open Rope Jams & specialized sessions centering Femme, GNC & Queer Riggers provide a social outlet for our rope community. We are an inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly group with a fully accessible venue.

CRG host annual weekend intensive workshops and performance events with instructors from around NZ, Australia & abroad, giving students the opportunity to upskill and experience instruction from different styles and aspects of rope.

Our instructors have trained under respected names in the international rope community and bring years of combined experience in suspension and floorwork.
