More about From The Ground Up

As educators, our goal is to create an environment in which everyone feels that learning rope is possible for them. We focus on fundamentals to provide you with a solid understanding of how rope works. This foundation will allow you to explore rope in a way that works for you and moves you closer to your goals!

Offerings (open only to vetted individuals):

  • Bi-weekly, beginner-friendly classes on Tuesday evenings (at a local dungeon)
  • Alternating rope jam/play party on the last Saturday of the month (at a local dungeon)
  • Progression series covering the basics through suspension (at a private residence)
  • Private lessons (at a private residence)

Please see our FetLife page for the most up-to-date event listings!

The team

    Co-founder & Instructor

I adore just about everything to do with rope. I started out by only getting tied in rope but quickly became fond of tying as well, both others and myself. The moment I became passionate about rope, I obsessively sought out information and education. Now I love to share what I have learned with others! Beyond my experience with rope, I also have a deep knowledge base around hypermobility, biology, and aerial acrobatics. All of which inform and influence how I interact with rope.

Rope and all of it’s intricacies captured my attention at an early age. I started off as self taught, eventually found formal classes, started teaching 5 years later, and shortly after even started making my own rope. My passion for rope has been rewarding. From floorwork to flying, teaching or tying, I am a lover of all things rope…
