Replied on How To Start

Thanks for sharing! There are lots of ways to coil rope, and we definitely can’t share them all. Something to be aware of is that, when coiling rope, we want a bundle that will come undone easily and a coiling method that won’t introduce a lot of bends into our ropes. Jute, unlike paracord, is prone to becoming twisted when stored. We often refer to it as having memory. In short- try out a lot of different coiling methods to figure out what works for you and your specific rope kit!

Thanks for your comment! To clarify, Gestalta suggests tying the epsilon on the top wrap around the friction (which forms the top of the stem).

Yes! You can find this technique demonstrated in the Basic Anchoring video, which is the first video in Gorgone’s Suspension Lines course.

Thanks for your comment! We’ll make a note of this content request. But we also just want to echo that tying on the waist can be tricky, and practice will help!

There is a safe place for a hanger in the front! You can find a demonstration of this and other attachment points here: https://shibaristudy.com/programs/butterfly-harness?cid=584251&permalink=butterfly_harness_suspmp4-99baf9
