For many rope bottoms, upper cinches are a cause of nerve compression. Additionally, for lots of different types of bodies, it’s relatively easy to tie the top wrap tight enough that it won’t slip around, even without cinches. For these reasons, lots of riggers default to leaving the upper cinches out.

Always, best practice is to first ask your bottom if they have a preference about upper cinches and lab both options if they don’t.

Thanks for your question! We chatted with our instructor here and they said that they haven’t noticed any problems with wear associated with tying POSH onto the jute rope that they use for their harnesses!

Thank you so much for your feedback. We'll take note of it for future tutorials.

Hi there, the harness can be used for face-up suspensions with an additional third rope. Fred demonstrates it in his class 'Face-up Third Rope' :) https://shibaristudy.com/programs/third-rope-face-up

Thanks for your question! We recommend a vertical suspension where most of the load is on the lower body (using our Hip Loader or the hip-loaded variation of the Butterfly Harness for example), as it's important not to create too much load on the arms with this harness.
