Hi there, Kinoko demonstrates a suspension with the Web Harness in this video: https://shibaristudy.com/programs/kinoko-web-shibariPlease note that the suspension is a high-risk exercise that requires a high level of expertise and it should never be attempted at home.

Thanks for your question. We recommend suspending the harness in the way that Kinoko suggests in the tutorial.

The half-hitch isn’t necessary, but could be added here to make handling easier even if you’re not joining rope. However, if adding the half-hitch here interrupts your flow, you could exclude it, as everything will be locked with the U-lock demonstrated around 8:30.

This was demonstrated in this way, with the basic form of the harness tied off, in order to show what the final form of the basic version would look like. You could re-route your extra rope to the side and begin building the side stems from there if you'd like to.

Sure! If you like using a larks head to start, you could absolutely do that. Make sure to build the wrap with two passes of rope (four pieces of rope total). And be sure to lock off (you’ll probably do this with a half hitch) before continuing to the upper wrap.
