Thanks for the question! One slip knot (plus the friction at the ring/carabiner or just below the bamboo) is secure, however, important to be aware that one of the key features of this slip knot is that it’s easy to untie. We love that about it, but it also means that we need to be careful to pull all the way down to the stopper knots so that we don’t accidentally grab the lock off by accident and untie it. If you’re newer to suspension, a second slip knot is one way to protect against that while also still locking the upline in a manner that’s fast to tie and untie!

Not really! As Tamandua says, this pattern works well on most bodies. We always recommend experimenting thoughtfully with new partners to see what works best!
