Astrid is a queer rope switch, educator and co-founder of the first dedicated rope venue in South Africa, Embodiment Rope Space. When she is not torturing bound toe beans, you can find her thinking, feeling, and writing about the ineffable art of kinbaku, taking lewd photographs or organizing community events.
