Hi everyone! I’m Anoxia, or Nox for short. I’m a they/them human currently living in Chicago, and I’ve been pretty intense about rope since I came across it in 2015. Really excited to be a part of this community space!

A bit about me: I’m a rope switch, and I started out on the tying side of things. While I’ve been tying for a decade, I started bottoming to rope very regularly this last year. I’ve been lucky enough to study with so many brilliant educators from the US, Europe, and Japan. For the last two years, I’ve been making a living teaching rope workshops and private lessons in the US, and working at Shibari Study. On the team, I’m responsible for our partnerships and events— there’s lots of exciting things to come in 2026!

I’m always around for conversations about bodies and anatomy and nerves, and for discussions about running spaces and events. 😊 Lovely to meet you all!
