I adore the Fisherman too! Underrated MVP as far as I'm concerned.

This is such a great and honestly immense question. If I look back, even as a kid reading books like Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys (giving my age away here), I was always really interested when the heroes were somehow tied up or trapped. As an adult, I realised I could play with that same state of fear and excitement by actually being in ropes, and that kicked off some early kink explorations. I've always grappled with anxiety, so there's something very intriguing – liberating even – and somehow subversive to me about welcoming the surrender and the struggle of rope. But it took meeting my first properly rope-obsessed person in what was then a very tiny kink community to really start my own obsession, and I haven't looked back since!

I’m also a big fan the self tie Butterfly. Anna teaches it so well and clearly too.

Welcome Brian! What are your favourite self ties so far?

Congrats on your first week exploring rope bondage! Sounds like you’ve picked up a lot in a really short time – understanding the value of communication is so important and some people get so caught up in the technical stuff that they forget that. You’re starting with a great foundation already.

As someone with a love-hate relationship with TKs (from a bottoming perspective anyway), I feel this but also have full faith that the right TK is out there. 😅
